Backend Developer Lead

DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to backend application development using Java, Quarkus, and Spring Boot, ensuring clean, maintainable, scalable, and high-quality code.
  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications with a focus on system reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust end-to-end software solutions.
  • Work closely with frontend teams using React to ensure seamless integration between backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations to support business requirements and efficient communication between distributed systems.
  • Implement and maintain asynchronous communication and event-driven processing using RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.
  • Support and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps practices.
  • Implement and manage application containerization using Docker and deployment orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications and services on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Establish and maintain application monitoring, metrics, and performance dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana to improve system visibility and operational reliability.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks across application services, databases, APIs, messaging systems, and deployment environments.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring incidents.
  • Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and ensure adherence to coding standards, testing practices, and secure development principles.
  • Provide technical direction, share knowledge, and support other engineers in solving complex development challenges and improving engineering productivity.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, identify opportunities for architectural improvements, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of development workflows and system performance.

KUALIFIKASI MINIMUM

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in backend development, software engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java and backend frameworks such as Quarkus and Spring Boot.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
  • Experience developing and integrating APIs, particularly RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with React and the integration of frontend applications with backend services.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins.
  • Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of messaging and event-streaming technologies, particularly RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.
  • Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and production deployment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Previous experience in the Fintech or financial services industry is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership, guide development activities, and support engineering team members.
  • Willingness to work onsite as required by the project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and operating high-availability, scalable, and resilient backend systems.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing in distributed environments.
  • Experience optimizing application performance, system observability, and production reliability.
  • Understanding of secure software development practices and the importance of data integrity in financial applications.
  • Experience contributing to technical design decisions, architecture reviews, and engineering process improvements.
