About this Position
As a Category Development (Bakery), you will play a key role in growing ASTRO's Private Label Food & Beverage business. You will support the end-to-end development and growth of Bakery products, from ideation, testing, vendor coordination, and packaging through to launch. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability, smooth execution, and continuous improvement of category performance.
Job Description
As our Astronaut, your missions are:
- Manage end-to-end New Product Development (NPD), from ideation, product testing, vendor coordination, packaging, until launch.
- Support Growth NPD initiatives to help grow the Bakery category and overall business.
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain to maintain product availability and minimize OOS.
- Monitor Bakery trends, product performance, and product scrap to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct product and sample evaluations, including weekly panel testing.
- Coordinate with vendors on product samples, timelines, product requirements, and negotiation.
- Support vendor assessment and sourcing activities when needed.
- Work with relevant teams on packaging development, design, and product administrative requirements.
- Coordinate with trainers to ensure proper product knowledge and handling before rollout.
- Manage multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure each development process stays on track.
KUALIFIKASI MINIMUM
In order to launch the missions successfully, you need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Food Technology, or other related fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in Category Management, Product Development, Brand Management, Trade Marketing, or similar roles.
- Experience in F&B, FMCG, Retail, Private Label, or Bakery-related categories is preferred.
- Experience handling products from idea or sample stage through commercial launch would be a strong plus.
- Strong Bakery product knowledge and trend awareness are highly preferred.
- Strong interest in Bakery or Pastry products and able to keep up with market and consumer trends.
- Comfortable working with both commercial analysis and hands-on execution.
- Commercially driven, ambitious, and proactive in pushing projects forward.
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
