Freelance Lead Web Developer & Technical Consultant
DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN
We are looking for a savvy, client-facing Lead Web Developer & Technical Consultant on a freelance/contract basis.
Unlike a traditional development role, this position acts as our strategic technical partner. You will operate in two distinct phases:
Pre-Sales & Scoping: Reviewing client requirements/briefs and building accurate, profitable technical scopes of work (SOWs) and development quotes.
Execution: Upon successful winning of the project, executing the front-end and back-end development from kickoff to launch.
Our ideal partner has a strong eye for UI/UX design fidelity, deep expertise in Shopify and custom CMS architecture, and the communication skills necessary to bridge the gap between design concepts and technical reality.
Core Responsibilities
Phase 1: Tech Consulting & Quoting (Pre-Sales)
Review client design briefs, sitemaps, and wireframes to identify technical requirements, risks, and limitations.
Provide accurate development hours/cost estimations for custom web designs.
Outline technical architecture recommendations (e.g., app integrations, custom CMS data mapping) for proposals.
Phase 2: Full-Site Development & Launch (Post-Sale)
Shopify Execution: Translate high-fidelity Figma designs into fully responsive, custom Shopify websites.
Dynamic CMS Architecture: Build out modular, flexible CMS setups using modern Shopify features (Metafields, Metaobjects, custom sections) so non-technical clients can easily manage content post-launch.
Design QA Integration: Partner with our design team in a staging environment to review and iterate until the build is pixel-perfect to the original Figma files.
Quality Assurance: Lead functional QA, cross-browser/device testing, and manage the migration/launch process.
Hand-off & Support: Deliver basic CMS documentation/guides for the client and provide a standard 30-day post-launch bug support window.
KUALIFIKASI MINIMUM
- Shopify Mastery: Deep knowledge of Shopify’s Liquid templating language, Metaobjects, Metafields, and theme customization. Ability to build bespoke layouts without relying on bloated, rigid third-party themes.
- Front-End Excellence: Expert-level HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and modern JavaScript.
- Figma to Code: Proven track record of translating complex Figma files into clean, semantic, performance-optimized code.
- Scoping & Estimation: Experience working with agencies or consulting clients to estimate project timelines and scope potential technical hurdles before code is written.
- Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
